Methodology

103 US cybersecurity leaders were surveyed from 3-4 August 2021. 89% of respondents were CISOs or CIO/CTO’s with cyberseucurity authority. 57% of respondents were CTOs or CIOs, 97% of which had decision-making authority over IT/IS security. Another 32% were Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), all of whom had decision-making authority over IT/IS security. Respondents lead cybersecurity at organizations of a broad range of sizes. Half of respondents lead cybersecurity at organizations with 1,000 to 10,000 employees. 29% lead cybersecurity at larger organizations and 24% at smaller organizations.
