...has arrived. We dug into exactly which organizations cybersecurity decision-makers are using and what factors are most important to them. The scorecard ranks the most important factors in general, then provides individual rankings for different solutions across the top eight categories:
1. Endpoint Protection / Detection & Response Platforms
2. Enterprise Network Firewalls
3. Access Management
4. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
5. Privileged Access Management
6. Application Security Testing
7. Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Services
8. Cloud Access Security Broker / Secure Web Gateways
103 US cybersecurity leaders were surveyed from 3-4 August 2021. 89% of respondents were CISOs or CIO/CTO’s with cyberseucurity authority. 57% of respondents were CTOs or CIOs, 97% of which had decision-making authority over IT/IS security. Another 32% were Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), all of whom had decision-making authority over IT/IS security. Respondents lead cybersecurity at organizations of a broad range of sizes. Half of respondents lead cybersecurity at organizations with 1,000 to 10,000 employees. 29% lead cybersecurity at larger organizations and 24% at smaller organizations.
